Notice to all Members and yes,

that includes you!

Please would all members kindly refrain from parking in the car parking space in front of next door's apartment. Although it is not officially for their sole use it is better for peaceful relations that we don't park there.

Would members also note that it is Club policy that all drinks, whether alcoholic or otherwise, to be consumed on the Club premises, must be purchased from the Club bar.

At each entrance to the Club there are now anti bacterial gel and wipes, please use them before entering the Club. To try and keep the virus away from the Club please keep washing your hands thoroughly.

The symptoms are temperature, dry cough or difficulty breathing. Please phone the above number if you have any if these symptoms and not your local heath centre or 112. If you have NO symptoms, carry on as usual. Cough into tissues or your elbow. Wash hands thoroughly and frequently. If you have chest infection stay away from others. Don't touch eyes, nose or mouth.

Sad News

I’m sorry to report that Joseph Illingworth died on 9th. March.

His funeral was held at Manilva Cemetery at 16.00 on Thursday 12th. March, followed by a wake at Kelly's Bar, at 17.30.

Our thoughts are with Trudy at this sad time.


Sorry to say that, due to the current situation, we have postponed the trip to Granada, due from 22nd to 25th March, until a date to be arranged in October.


Due to the State of Emergency declared by the Government, it is with regret that the Club will be closed for all activities until at least Monday 30th March.

Ladies Lunch has been cancelled.

People can only leave their homes for pet walking, food shopping, banking, pharmacy, health centre, hospital, hairdressers. You can no longer use your car for leisure pursuits so petanca, bowls, golf and rambling are now cancelled.

EasyJet have cancelled all flights from 17th - 30th.

Most other airlines are in a similar position.

Parks, beaches, gyms, bars and restaurants are closed.

We do hope that you will all stay safe and well. If you have any difficulties please do not hesitate to contact one of us (not Wilma).
